US Jaycees

Colorado
JCI Senate

WELCOME!
   The Jaycees (Junior Chamber of Commerce) are a community service and social organization. We make a difference in our member’s lives and in our communities through community service projects and leadership development opportunities. There are many worthwhile community service groups, such as the Kiwanis, Elks, Lions and Rotary, but they tend to cater to the older group of people. The Jaycees are established for a younger crowd and we offer opportunities that fit our generation and lifestyle. Ideas for our projects and social activities come from our local members deciding what is best for their individual communities’ needs and desires.
    When you join the Jaycees, you are becoming part of a much larger community of people with common interests.  You join your local chapter, the Colorado Jaycees, United States Junior Chamber, and the Junior Chamber International. You choose how active you want to be at any level of this organization. You will feel great about belonging to an active group of people making a difference and meeting many new friends along the way to socialize and network.

The Colorado Jaycees
   The Colorado Jaycees, led in 2008 by President Matt McGuire, are a young person’s organization of choice. The group’s membership decides on the charitable and educational programs it wishes to participate in. The Jaycees will foster individual growth and leadership skills through running these programs. Some communities will enhance the opportunities for personal development and achievement for participation in governmental affairs of their community, state and nation. The Jaycees provide the tools for success in areas of business development, management skills, individual training, community service and international connections.

Vision: “To be…
   The organization of choice for young people, providing direction and leadership to our communities in the state of Colorado .”  Let us “Lead the Way”.

Mission Statement:

“To provide young people the opportunity to develop personal and leadership skills through local community service and organizational involvement while expanding the Jaycee movement.”

The Jaycee Creed

WE BELIEVE:

That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life;

That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise;

That government should be of laws rather than of men;

That earth’s great treasure lies in human personality;

And that service to humanity is the best work of life
